Chinese law firms and China-Israel bi-lateral trade and investment will be a major focus of Israel’s 2nd Foreign Law Firms conference. The conference will be on Dec 9th in Tel Aviv. Organized by the Tel-Aviv District of the Israel Bar Association led by Adv. Efi Nave and Robus Legal Marketing. China-Israel bi-lateral trade and Chinese law firms a prime focus:
The event’s overall focus is the entry and activity of international law firms in Israel. It will happen due to the changes in the global legal market and the growing competition between Israeli law firms. Within that focus will be Panel #3: China – the Dragon is Awake: Focused exclusively on the activity and interest of China’s law firms in the Israeli legal market – a market recently liberalized to permit entry of foreign law firms. Moderated by Adv. Yaakov Israeli of Shibolet & Co — the panel will include Adv. Amit Ben Yehoshua of Dacheng Law Offices, Adv. Eyal Khayat of Yingke Israel, Adv. Sungbo Shim of Squire Patton Boggs, Adv. Tali Mirsky, Global VP Legal Affairs & Corporate Secretary of Frutarom Industries Ltd, and Adv. Tehila Levi Lati of Zisman Aharoni Gayer & Co.
The Chinese law firms panel will be preceded lunch and a panel entitled: Israel’s Trade Policy with Asia– Today and Tomorrow. Panelists will include Adv. Eytan Epstein of EKT- Epstein Knoller Chomsky Osnat Gilat Tenenboim & Co and Mr. Ran Cohen, Chairman of the Standards Institute of Israel, President of the Israel-Asia Chambers of Commerce, Former Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor.
China: Israel’s largest trading partner in Asia
According to news reports, China is Israel’s largest trading partner in Asia, and may become Israel’s largest trading partner globally. Bilateral trade between the two countries was in excess of $10 billion in 2013.
